What good will the files do without an installer? I am searching for the installer for that as well.

I just received an FZ190 yesterday and am methodically going through all the installed software and drivers taking inventory of the stuff I want on it and the stuff I want to jettison. I am going through all the PROGRAM files directories and the "add remove programs" list to do this.

I am preparing to do a clean install of Vista but only after I have located everything I need. So far I have found just about all the drivers and applications. VAIO Update, VAIO OOBE, Adobe LifeCycle Designer, Corel Snapfire and the DSD stuff are the ones I can't find. Most of the stuff can be found on the set of recovery DVD's I made first. The OOBE appears to be "VAIO Out Of Box Experience" so I don't need that. I think the Adobe thing is superfluous too. Snapfire can be replaced by Picasa.

I am documenting the process and will post results here when I am done.
