    Hi all,

Took delivery of the AR21S yesterday, stunning to look at compared to my old one. So far it seems great.

Im just wondering if anyone has had problems, or has advice concerning hooking it up wirelessly using the inbuilt functions. I can scan for avaliable networks fine, it picks up 2 of them, my modem/router upstairs in the office and a neighbours. Both are WEP encrypted and mine shows full strength signal but when i hit connect it says it cant as it might now be out of range, hit refresh to scan for other points etc. but when i click on the neighbours one it asks me for the WEP key. I cant understand why it will ask for theirs but not mine that is upstairs.

Also, ive tried to install my old PCMCIA card to get access that way but it cant read the cd, says it cant access the G: drive. Are the drives on the AR21S that sensitive, like ive read, that they have trouble reading older cd's etc?

Thanks for your time, sorry about the long post!

I've not had any problems connecting to Wireless networks on my AR21S both under XP or Vista. The wireless signal is a lot better than the one I was getting on old laptops using PCMCIA cards.

If you want to try and get your wireless PCMCIA card running, you could try downloading the drivers from the manufacturer's website as you won't need to use the CD then. ( Netgear)

However, I've never had any problems with the Blu-ray drive not reading discs - maybe your CD is scratched?

    Thanks Seb!

It is a fairly old disc but the office computer and my old laptop didnt have any probs reading it

My main issue is the wireless thing. It just struck me as odd why i could pick up my router and my neighbours but only on theirs could i have the WEP password box appear, even though mine is a lot closer.

I thought maybe it was a problem as ive recently turned on the WEP but im thinking not as it wont even bring up the WEP password box.
