Well, I've finally come into the glory days and have been able to purchase the MONSTER that is the AR Series Vaio.
Specs:
Extended Battery (Leftover from my previous laptop, the VGN-FS920)
No TV Tuner (I have an HDTV for that)
LCD 17"WUXGA (XBRITE-HiColor) with integrated video camera
Blu-ray Disc Read and Write Drive (Really needed the write function)
240 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive [5400 rpm]
2 GB DDR-SDRAM (DDR2-667, 1 GBx2) (I already have 2 GBx2 waiting)
Microsoft® Windows Vista® Home Premium with Service Pack 1
Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHZ)
Now I have a few questions:
Even though I did not order dual HDD, will my laptop still come with two slots?
Is it difficult to replace the HDDrives (say if I wanted to upgrade both)?
Is there anyone out there who has found a case capable of nicely housing the AR notebook? I'm aware that not even Sony's own brand of case will fit.
Thanks!

As for cases, I use the Ogio Big Boss. It's a little pricey, at $329, but it hold my 17" Sony AR, with my iPod, mouse, cooling pad, collection of CD's, cell phone, PDA, and more all in it with ease.
*EDIT* Price drop to $229!

Thanks, that's one huge bag....I don't know where you're getting your numbers from...the site it takes me to in order to purchase online (Bagking) lists it at $60.

The Sony store near me doesnt stock bags big enough for the AR. I found one made by Antler that is large enough for the PC, mouse and power supply - you can find their gear at most airport luggage stores.
My AR150 has two drive bays, with one empty so I would suspect the newer models do too.
Yes, IMHO it is difficult to upgrade the drives yourself. You probably will need to use the Sony recovery CD to install a new drive or it won't recognise it. Did your machine ship with recovery CDs? If not, you need to make them, which is a time consuming process. But essential in case your machine ever falls over. -
The one you see for $60 is the Ogio Corporate City Corp Computer Briefcase, not even close to the same thing, but still a nice bag. -

Oh yeah, I see it now...that's pretty steep, but I've found some lower prices. Thanks a ton!
Did you get the Big Boss SS? or will the Big Boss do? -
I just have the Big Boss. It's fantastic.

I bought AR770NC and I can't install drivers from VAIO support because there are for Home Premium, but I have Business.
What I can do?
