    ASK, what button do I press to resume from stand by position?

    I would like to know what button need to be pressed in order to resume from standby.


    I set my sony notebook cw series to standby when the battery is almost out.

    after standing by, I immediately plug the charger in but the notebook is still in standby mode,

    how do I turn it on? what button need to be pressed?

    Normally pressing the power button should do it, but standby mode uses battery power and if you battery was running out, who knows what would happen to the data.

    Normally when your battery runs low the notebook will go into hibernation which saves all the data to the hdd and uses no power.

    I tried the power button but it didn't perform anything at all.

    If it's really in standby mode, usually pressing any key on your keyboard should wake it up. If it's not, then something's wrong.

    Be sure and charge it for a bit then press the power button.
