I tried wolfenstein and hitman blood money. they both open fine, but there is a black space around the left and right of the screen... resolution changing in game does nothing. halp! halp!

edit: FIXED. Had to do something in ATI panel.

BUT.. It seems that BOTH games like.. JERK every 2 seconds..not lag or FPS issue..it just JERKS and like a "line" or something can be seen..like its loading or something..refreshing. cant explain too much but it seems like some setting may be causing this, any idea?

What drivers did your SR ship with? Maybe try updating them to the latest Catalyst ones for desktop and then using the mobility modder?

I'm inclined to say that it's the precaching of frames or whatever it's called. It defaults at three, and three frames are rendered ahead of time. I don't see anything in CCC to change it though. It's a Nvidia feature in Rivatuner.

I'll play around with settings after I update. I think I notice the jerkiness too.

yes its def. not FPS issue. I get over 150 FPS in wolfenstein on maxed settings (no Filters AA and AF). but it just doesn't seem 100% smooth. I toyed with a ton of settings and it helped a lot with clarity and stuff, but the jerkiness/refreshing lines or whatever still are noticeable at times.

Under 3D > Standard settings, I think you can try setting the slider from Quality to Performance. It should help quite a bit. Do the same for mipmap details.

Okay so it was the standard settings. I messed with a bunch of things last night and something worked... but thanks for helping me pinpoint it!

I tested it... put it to quality at highest and experienced that jerking..put it to performance and it was smooth. I didn't even notice too much of a visual difference. I don't look into detail when im gaming online i guess :p
