Does AV Mode work just like it does on Vista on XP too? Like when you click the av button it doesn't boot into windows?

Did you mean pushing the little av button on the front edge? It did work for me. little screen comes up, but vista did not boot. I tried playing music, and it works, but did not try movie.

Sorry to mis-read your first post. I recall seeing similar question on xp. You may have to search here to find out. I seem to remember something about getting the driver and the av software to work in xp.

I've had no luck, I've been looking for the dongrade thread but couldn't find it. I want to downgrade to XP pro SP3 but as long as everything works..

    Thanks!!

I've got a clean install of Vista and my RAM is always over 52% (2gig Ram) plus mybattery life isn't toop goo either. I'm hoping things will be better on XP.. plus it takes ages well a few seconds to go in to a folder and select a program from the start menu and I hate waiting.

    ahh cheers

yes the ram usage will always be high on Vista, 50% approx is what my desktop sits at on idle (with 2G ram), but Vista does use ram differently from XP so there is nothing bad about this

the folder delay - i do get that as well but i'm used to it...its only very slightly longer than my XP and i don't need the folders to open ultra fast :p

i have no idea about battery life though
    good luck with it!
