I am planning to buy a new sz 6 series, but I have following questions.

    1. It only has vista edition, can I do dual boot like I did for my sz270p?

    2. Any 64 bit (xp or vista) on 6 series?

    3. How many on board video memory this time? How is the video performance?

    4. Any cheap place to buy it? Because it's expensive.

1: You can request an XP CD off Sony I believe. Search the forum for some links. Also to dual boot, you will have to set it up yourself. Google will be your friend here.

2: No 64bit drivers are provided by Sony, so 32bit only.

3: 64mb I believe for the nVidia card, but 800+ in shared memory.

    4: I got an sz650n/c from B&H (bhphoto.com) for ~$1800.

Absolutely. 516MB for on board video memory.

This is the sony customer service said. Are there really a 516MB video memory notebook in the world? All the morons went to sony?

The onboard video memory is only important for games really and to be honest the 8400m gs is a terriable card to play games. Call of Duty 4 just works on it with most settings turned down or off.
