Every time I come out of standby, the wireless will say its connected but acquiring the network address. So everytime that comes up i have to go into the network connections and disable it and re-enable it. Is there an easier way for this to work? I thought that this should work automatically.
Thanks!

Do you have your wireless connection set to automatically connect to the network when in range?
You can find out by going to the Properties of your wireless connection, and then the Properties of your specific network. The tab you want is "Connection" -
There was an update for the wireless drivers to fix problems associated with standby from memory.

Here's the one thing...when I come out of standby, I'll get the little "acquiring network address" thing going, but I'll still be connected. It just bugs me to have that little yellow dot swinging around when I should be connected. Anal I know, but I like that connected wireless icon!

I just found the new drivers for the intel wireless card so I'm going to give that a go and see what happens.
As for the laptop automatically connecting, I think it already does do that.
Maddog, when mine comes back out of standby it will not work when I enter firefox. It says page connect be displayed or something like that.
I will see if the drivers help. -
Thanks lithast for the driver update tip! It works perfectly now.
Anyone else having the same problem just download from this link here and everything should work perfectly now.

This is for the wireless on the SZ. I'm not sure if the other Sony's use the same card. -
Unfortunately I use a Broadcom in my laptop. I don't think that's Intel. :-\
