    Hey,

I bought this Sony Vaio S series laptop from the Microsoft Store

Buy Sony VAIO S Series (VPCSE2MFY/B), 15.5 inch notebook PC with Intel Core i5 processor, HDMI, and WiDi - Microsoft Store Online

    Model: VPCSE2MFY/B

I want to add another 4GB stick (max supported is 8GB). I was looking at this product:

    Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model F3-10600CL9S-4GBSQ

It seem like it would work. It's 1333MHz, DDR3. Do the timings have to be the same as the soldered in 4GB stick in the laptop?

Also, is it easy to add another stick?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Should be OK.
I'm using the Corsair ValueRAM 8GB.
Taking faster memory hasn't sense: it will use the 'slowest' module, which is the soldered memory (running 1333MHz, CAS Latency 9). So CAS 7 memory (=faster) will run CAS 9 timings.
For S-series it is very easy accessible, and I expect the same for your model.

I believe max out of SE is 12GB.
It doens't have to be match but it would be better.
Just remove 2 screws of bottom cover (L shape), you will see RAM slot.
