I have been trying to economically add some semi perm storage to my TXN-15 by filling the SD card slot.

I hardly ever use this slot and with 32Gb cards available out there was wondering if any TX or older sony users have beaten the 2 gig card limit problem?

I tried plugging in a 8Gb memStick and 8Gb SD card with no joy(Only2Gb showing)???

Anyone know how these slots are connected to the MB ??? and which drivers if any would allow for larger capacities ???
I was also looking into maybe getting a PCMCIA adapter that would accept the larger SD or other memory formats but I worry about the PCMCIA card using up power when not in use. The Mem Sticks and SD cards in the slots don't get hot, aka suck up amps unless I am accessing them

Thanks in advance for the help,
