    Hi
I have a Vaio laptop with windows 8. I sign in with my password and I am listed as an administrator yet every time I do stuff on the computer a box pops up telling me I need administrative permission. I click on it to allow me and it does but it's annoying. Why do I have to do this when the computer lists me as an administrator? Thanks.

That's UAC for you. Its been around for a while now, since Vista, I believe. It has improved a lot - in Vista it was really bad. If you can't bear it, you can turn it off completely, but I'd rather you kept it - it adds another layer of security. If you are doing a lot of stuff that needs this kind of permission, turn UAC off for the duration, and turn it back on when you're done.
