    Hello,

I have a problem with adobe premiere 8 and my z13.
The installation .exe comes from Sony themselves and is supposed to come with my Vaio. The installation goes fine, then i update with adobe premiere 8.0.1 patch.

But when i start adobe premiere i have an error saying something like adobe premiere can not find any correct visualization mode... Thus i cannot start the application.

I read that in case of troubles i could disable threading in nvidia control panel, i did, didnt change anything.

I read also that hardware acceleration disable might work, but i can not disable hardware acceleration as the case is grey in nvidia drivers... ?????

I don't know what to do. Asked Sony support but i guess i will not get an answear before a few days.

Any idea? note that i use official uptodate sony drivers.

Anyone knows how to disable hardware acceleration with the official drivers for this GT330M on the Z?

I'm not sure which hardware acceleration you mean?? Have you tried with the intel graphics enabled instead of the Nvidia? have you called Sony? I know their support can be useless, but if you got that version of Premier from them they should, hopefully, support at least it's installation.

I don't know about that particular Premiere install, but I put CS5 production bundle on my Z12 last night, but I haven't tried running Premier yet. I'll try it this afternoon.

I tried with intel graphics, didnt work, though i switched after i installed Adobe Premiere. Maybe i should install adobe premiere while using the intel HD... But doubt it would change anything.

I read something about a possible codecs issue.
Hardware acceleration also could cause the crash with some nvidia cards so that may be it. I am talking about the hardware acceleration that we can usually disable in the screen resolution window by clicking advanced>troubleshooting>Parameters but i cannot click it, the button is grey. :(

About CS5 : i installed Adobe Photoshop Elements and it works fine so it does not compare.

By the way crash occurs when the program starts, when it loads all the stuff, when the program loads windows media...

Wrote Sony support. It is strange because the version they provided is sold with the Z13... So why don't they configure it right ???
