If you look at the pictures, the headphone ports are located really close to the vent and DC in port. I remember I had a Dell 1520 that had similar layout as of where the headphone jack was right next to the exhaust and that laptop had excessive static noise when listneing thru headphones...

The noise got worse when plugged into power...and seeing that the SR's headjack is near the DC in port, I am worried...

I make music with my laptops...so this can't be good... I really hope there is no noise, but I am worrying now..

Anybody know of laptops you've owned that had the headjack near the DC in and exhaust but experienced no static sound thru their headphones??

I really hope this isn't going to happen.. I returned my dell for a VAIO FZ just because of the noise issue.
