Im gonna purchase an SZ this weekend at Best Buy. Any cases out there that you guys recommend me get? I need something compact and would love a sling "overs the shoulder" backpack.

Also when are the newer models expected to be released?

I love my Tumi sling bag.

The sz is the newest models. If you mean the premium models, I have no idea.

I had issues with the sz but it could just be me. See me review of it. Most of the issues I had was taken care of, but the stanby/hibernate is still bothering me. If you never use that, it works fine so far.

I bought a Targus bag at Circuit City with my SZ120, this one in fact
    http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=RG0318

Only prob with it is that the notebook is a little loose in the compartment, so i also spent $17 on the neopryne sleeve to first protect my investment

Good luck with your purchase, i don't regret my jump from my big bulky Alienware to this new lightweight dual core monster

Allright, I mentioned the below case on this thread but was warned about it not fitting on it. It doesn't fit, BUT that's if you plan on putting in inside the frame covers the case has inside. I put mine OUTSIDE them, and it fits just right. Granted, you woulnd't have the protection as if it were inside the frames, but you can carry it like that just fine. I use the battery now inside the frame and the laptop outside it. I like it so much.

I'm just surprised no one has busted open their SZs at this point, considering how few good tight-fit solutions there are out there for the SZ !

When the 13.3" widescreen Apple notebook comes out next month there may be more...

The best I've been able to find is a case for the 14" widescreen powerbook, but it's just a little too big... I need something that first perfectly tight !

I have a leather case for 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper, and it holds my SZ perfectly... it's jut not a laptop case and doesn't have the same protection !

And let's not start about Sony's SZ case... that case is as much for the SZ as our clunky shakey batteries are for the SZ... it's obvious Sony's recycling all of their S series stuff and rebranding it SZ... really irritating.

    Hi Ishman,

Do you have a non-premium SZ, ie. 110, 120, or 140 version, or the premium version like an 160?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Genuine-Sony-VAI...QQcmdZViewItem

The reason why I ask is that I have a 110, non-premium, and it is slightly thicker than the premium version.

Does your SZ easily fit in the bag? Is the bag made out of nylon? Does it have a place or separate bag for the power supply?

    Thanks for answering my questions!

Get one of the Oakley computer bags. I have checked and the Vertical Computer v2.0 fits the SZ. Very nice.

I've just ordered a booq vyper sleeve xm (booqbags.com) for mine. the extra space should be approx 1cm vert/horz, which I should be able to fix somehow. I have already a booq bag and looks pretty indestructible to me after more than a year of usage :)
