Hi, my goal is to acquire a Sony SZ series with no dead pixel, at a decent price. That rules out Brick and Mortar stores b/c they are full retail price, with tax, and that is insane for a notebook.
If I buy from Amazon, and I get one with a dead pixel, can I return the laptop no questions asked for a full refund? And then order another one, with no restocking fee incurred? Anyone ACTUALLY done this, rather than just speculation?
Thanks.
If not Amazon, then where can I get one that I can return if it has a dead pixel?

Honestly it is not that bad. I have on on my Dell Monitor, you can only see it when the screen is black. Here is their return policy for computers. If you really don't want any dead pixels I would ask how many they require for an exchange.

I just had a look at their return policy for computers and sounds pretty much like if there is anything wrong with it you have to deal directly with the manufacturer.

Has anyone got a SZ with a dead/stuck pixel yet?

i was looking at buying the 120 from Amazon as well, ended up that Cicuit City had it for the same price... and yes i had to pay sales tax, but that was offset by not paying shipping.... so i don't know if you actually looked/checked retail stores vs Amazon or online, but it seems to me that you've got the wrong impression
btw, no dead pixels on mine -
Amazon's return policy for the SZ notebook?
