    Hi,

Wonder if you can help. I have a Vaio C1Z laptop. Everything is fine with it. I have one problem. When I have multiple windows open on Word 2007, by switching from one document to another, there is a slight pause, perhaps a second. It's really annoying! Has anyone else heard of this? I'd really like to be able to switch between documents instantly.

It's not a question of memory or processing, I am sure.

    Gratefully!

Thanks. I don't think it's question of power or memory at all. I'm running a 2GB laptop, dual core at 1.66. I suspect it's a quirk in Word. I can have photoshop, firefox, and outlook 2007 all open and switch between them instantly. This only occurs if I have 2 or more word documents going on...

Hmm Yeah you have a very powerful laptop there. Is Word all original? Do you have VISTA or XP?

Yes, I'm running XP and an original Word 2007. If it comes to it, I'll just install Word 2003. I had a Dell XPS M1210 before this, running same specs, and there were no problems, so it must be an issue between the Vaio and Word.

Yea. But does the pause really bother you enough to uninstall it all and re install 2003?

It's one of these things that breaks my concentration. Besides, is there any great difference between Word 2003 & 2007?

Yes alot if you use all the 2007 programs .. Just a little hidden . But yeah 2003 works the same and you can do basically the same things.
