    Another Sony Vaio SR First Impressions/Possibly Review

    Things may be different now with current hardware and Vista SP1, but I installed Vista Business on four or five different notebooks (all different makes/models). None of the machines exhibited better battery life or even close to it. All of the machines had about 20% less battery life and this was after tweaking all of the power settings and turning off Aero/Sidebar. Vista is just a resource hog.

    I got more batterylife on my TZ with XP vs. Vista.

    nice review mate and thanks for the heaps of pictures and videos. i needed a comp so badly that i bought a compaq v3822...nice..but the SR's real good. am waiting for nehalem to be out...and then would probably go SR.

    I think my original reason was because of the price. I was looking at the starting price at sonystyle.com, and I just pick the cheaper one. :p

    before i traded in my dv2700t, i played cod4 on it and it ran great low settings..that was an 8400m gs which is definitely worse compared to the ati 3470 so the SR should run CoD4 pretty well low/maybe some med settings
