Any New Models/Updates from Sony Soon?

I have not followed the release market in the past few years - does Sony typically come out with new PC's at certain times of the year? Does anyone know if anything new is coming in the next 30-60 days? Seems the big-box retailers got rid of a lot in the past 30-45 days and there seem to be a lot of "new" models in ads.

 

the new intel chipset is supposed to come out soon...so i would expect new models soon after

 

New models should be out in June-July.

 

thanks - wondering if it is worth the wait. Really leaning towards an AR, but would hate to buy one this close to new model release and then they update it - or come out with a new 17".

 

owning SZ6, and also waiting for a new AR model, hoping to see LED display and more powerfull cpu. i suppose sony would annonce it in august.

 

shame they don't offer CTO elsewhere - the AR can be pimped out fairly well here in the US - at least on the CPU/Memory/HD options.

 

do u think the new models would have the newiest intel chips (Extreme) in it as well as the 8800 GTX VGA card ?? i'm acutlly thinking of buy a sony laptop but i'm gonna wait till august to see anything new from "like'no'other" brand

 

Montevina is going to be released at Computex of Taiwan in early June, so July should be the month that Sony will update their models. Personally I hope for a new S series that will replace the SZ, or an ultra-portable (G or TZ) with the new chipset.

 

yah it would be nice to see a TZ sporting the x3100 at least or even better the x4100 chipset

also, here's to hoping hdmi/displayport gets included in the smaller models (sz, tz)
