    Hi folks.

I'm using SZ48LN in Korea. I believe SZ48 is Asian version of SZ480 (US).
Intel T7200 with GeForce Go 7400.

Windows 7 is officially available.. and I'm considering to try it out. I've been using Windows Vista Business (pre-installed with SZ48) and also Windows XP Pro with success.

Since Windows 7 is very new OS, and Sony does not officially support Windows 7 for SZ48 series.. I'm somewhat hesitant.
It was pain in the butt to manually find individual driver for each component on this laptop when I fresh installed Vista and XP. And I'm sure we all agree that because of GeForce Go 7400 and SZ48's FN+Brightness functions.. it's really pain in the butt to update 7400 driver.

Any success with Windows 7, SZ480 owners out there ??

Just installed Windows 7 on my SZ48. Everything is working fine except for Fn+brightness on GeForce Go 7400.

Installation procedure is pretty much the same as Vista.

I used ForceWare v179.48 for 7400. This is the very same driver + modified inf I got from this forum sometime ago for fresh Vista installation. Fn+brightness works fine in Vista with this driver. However, it does not work in Windows 7. As usual Intel integrated graphic (Stamina mode) works fine with Fn+brightness.
OMG, I hate this GeForce Go 7400. This crap is always problematic..

Is there a working Fn+brightness INF on Windows 7 for GeForce Go 7400??

I guess I'm going back to XP. Thanks to Acronis True Image. I have perfect images for both Windows XP Pro SP3 and Vista Business SP2. :D

Can you tell me where to get the modified inf so the driver will install?

I can not get video drives to install on Windows 7!
