This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Any news on new Sony TR Series?

    I wanted to get a Sony Vaio TR Series notebook because they are so small and light. The guy at the Sony Store told me Sony is releasing new TR notebooks this summer, but I couldn't find any info on that.

    Does anyone know anything about new TR series notebooks?

    I don't want to buy one now and then a month later see a better version available :)

    Any info would be great!

    Sony just refreshed the TR series with the TR5:

    It's got a built-in DVD burner but other than that is essentially the same as the TR3. I'll be getting a TR5 by this weekend and posting pictures and first thoughts and then will have a review out in 2 - 3 weeks.
