Any suggestions for a sleeve for the S580 and its siblings?

I've been hunting around looking for a good protective sleeve for an S580. No one but Sony seems to make a 13" widescreen sleeve, and I don't really care for the worrisome zipper or the AC adapter pouch on theirs (I don't plan on carrying the adapter or other accessories very often). I love the look of the ZeroShock sleeves, but they don't seem to make a case that will fit correctly. The same goes for several other well-known sleeve makers. The closest fits seem to be 14" 4:3-aspect cases, which fit in breadth but leave rattle room from front to back. Has anyone found a better solution than this?

On a trip to China I bought an original Sony Vaio sleeve for the S series which doesn't have any pouches, zippers, etc, just the notebook fits in, nothing more. It's very light and stylish and oerfect for my needs. I haven't seen this sleeve available in the Sony online store, I can't think of a reason for it not to be sold in Europe/America.

Hey Valkyrie, could you please give some details, and maybe some photos of that Targus for Vaio case.

    Here's a quick review.
    Overall I love it.
I also own the US slipcase for the S series.
I think by comparison, the US version looks better. One minor thing I don't really like for this slipcase is the stitching on the sides. They look kind of "frilly". An example can be seen on the top left side of the slab on the second and fourth pictures.

    Now, to the meatier aspect.
It is stiffer then the US slip case (thin foam-like material), but still flexible. However, remember that they are slipcases. Hence ,they only provide minor protection against scratches. It fits my S560 perfectly like a glove, as seen on the images below.

    Next question: Is it waterproof?
    Answer: To a certain degree.
I tried pouring some small amount of water on top of the slip case, and I could see that there are water droplets on the surface as well as some small seepage. If I tilt the case, the water droplets would just roll. In addition, the inside surface of the case remained dry. Therefore, I think the case is quite waterproof, as long as you wiped any minor spillage on it immediatelly.
This is one advantage over the US slip case. The US version use a zipper in which water can easily seep in.

I can't think of anything else to review. If there's any question, feel free to ask and I'll answer it my best.
