I'm looking for a light, reasonably powerful notebook with a really comfortable keyboard for my wife. I'm willing to spend around $1000 on it. I can get this Sony VAIO online new for $1050 shipped. I can't find any reviews of it or any threads on it here. Is anyone familiar with it that can recommend or not recommend this purchase?

I can't find a single thread in the archives that talks about this notebook, and even here in the dedicated Sony forum nobody has anything to say about it. Is this model the ugly step-child of the VAIO family? It looks like the perfect match for my needs, but I'm hesitant to spend $1000 on a laptop that I can't find a single review for or get some feedback from an owner.

Is there nobody here that can comment on this notebook?
