On my F2, the trackpad has a pinch-to-zoom function. I deactivated this gesture on my MBP because it would always happen when I didn't intend it to. Same deal on the Vaio...I find myself inadvertently increasing or decreasing text size when I don't think I'm "pinching" at all, or don't even realize that there's a second finger (or second part of my hand) on the touchpad. But I can't figure out how to disable certain gestures, or even disable all multifinger gestures for the touchpad. Is there any way to do this?

If you click on control panel > mouse you'll bring up the touchpad software. If the F2 uses Synaptics, I can assure you that there is a box called "pinch zoom" that you can uncheck. If it doesn't use Synaptics, I would guess ALPS or whatever other vendor's software may be used on the F2 would have a similar toggle.

Thanks! I'd looked in the mouse settings in the Vaio control center, and the general mouse settings in the "mouse" setting for control panel, but I hadn't thought of going to the Synaptics panel and then selecting "settings."
