    It only has one ram slot total and even if it could register more than the 2gb of ram already installed in it, there aren't any 2gb+ sticks for it.

    You mean you cannot get a 2Gb stick to install it urself into the extra slot? :confused:

    There is only one slot? so there is a 2gb stick in my laptop? If i get a faster ram... it wont recognize it right?

    Yup only one slot. I think rahulnirmal meant there aren't any 4Gb stick.

    it won't make a difference if you get the fastest notebook ram available, the FSB is 533MHz, and the fastest RAM you get will always default back to the 533 speed so it would be pointless to get anything faster. There is only one slot, no extra slots. If you already have 2GB, then its a single stick. Sony states the max amount the TZ supports is 2GB, so you're at the limit.

    im sure it supports atleast ~3.2

    but theres only one slot.

    maybe one day they'll make 4gb sticks for notebooks

    Yup after looking around apparently the one and only slot can only take 1 Gb stick max.

    I dont know. I was curious. Maybe someone had 3gb installed, but apparently not :(
