I am afraid there is no Win7 drivers for this laptop.
Anyway, let try install WinXP drivers on current Win.

I can't even find Vista drivers for this either? Also, something's up with this particular unit, I cannot find this model listed on Sony's site so I can't even find XP drivers for it?

It is VGN-FS series. You may find it somewhere around LCD bezel.

    Good afternoon mikehende!

My name is Amanda Maffei with the Sony Support team. From the model # that you have provided to us, I was able to find a list of model numbers. Please click this link to find the right one: Sony eSupport - Electronics - Select Your Model. Your model number will start with the letter "V" and will be located on the bottom of your notebook. If you're needing assistance with parts, please call: 800-488-7669. It will direct you to our parts warehouse. Hope this helps! Thank you!

@Amanda, Sony won't sell parts to end-users anymore.
Do not suggest them to call to buy parts.
@mike, to find your VGN model, press F2 to go to bios when your laptop starts, you will see VGN-FSxxx number in first bios page.
Then use the link provided above to find your model to download drivers and utilities.

ok, thanks all, I found the model which is VGN-FS850 and the sound driver words but the Video Vista driver is not installing. I tried uninstalling the generic driver and then reinstalling the Vista driver but doesn't work, any ideas please?

XP driver should work fine under Vista.
