It should run just fine. I haven't tried the Beta, only 6956 (I think) and everything worked perfectly. I assume it's only gotten better since then... no driver problems at all and it ran noticeably faster than Vista.

I tried! And fn keys are not working and there are two devices in hardware list not working properly. One is ACPI and other is some SMBus.

I did it, and Fn Works perfectly (except for the magnify glass, neh!).

However, I don't remember exactly the install order.

Recently I reinstall Windows 7, and lose the Fn keys funtionality: mute, vol+/- bright controls are working, but with lag.

SMBus needs Intel Chipset drivers, you have to installed manually (through dev manager / update driver, method) because the installer is incompatible with Windows 7.

You may get a "Base System Device" in Unknow Devices section, it will be the MemoryStick Reader, and "Unknown Device" its the firmware parser, necessary to get Fn funtionality. Although, it seems that, Audio Realtek HD driver has a conflict with VAIO Event Service, because you can't make work the Audio Fn keys, with both installed. VAIO Event Service, is a must have, to get VAIO Power Manager Working ( and Brightness FN control).

    IMPORTANT:
You must install the Audio Realtek HD drivers, if you don't you get speakers bumps at the system start.
