I've owned my Z for almost a year now, and i'm thinking that alot of dust must be in the fan now.

Has anyone opened their Z up and cleaned it yet?

I'm also going to apply some arctic silver 5 too, just for good measure.

Another thought, is it possible to apply on both CPU and GPU?

To anyone considering applying thermal paste to the Z's CPU and GPU...its alot of disassembly involved. ALOT.

I took a look under the keyboard (I used the guide to change hard drives) and it looks complicated just to get to the heatsink. There's a frame right over it, and it looks hard (discouraging) to do so.

I suppose nobody has detailed information on getting the frame and heatsink off as well as identifying the both the x4500 and 9300 GPU's as well.

If you dissasemble the Z, can you please make it a "photo guide"... I am going to replace the HDD with a SSD at some point and that would be very helpful! :)
