A lot is subjective, but two a year is a lot for me in most current circumstances.

I'm not sure exactly when it occurs, but so far I've seen eight BSOD's (when I've been counting) out of four TT's since I bought them. I haven't actually seen a BSOD on a Sony since perhaps second quarter '07 until I encountered it in the TT's.

The environment I work under is pretty common to all of my laptops. When they're at home or office they are sometimes docked to larger displays and a keyboard/mouse, as well as an Acronis-use drive, but most of the time they simply remain hibernated and are left to charge.

The problem seems to happen most when I've plugged something into the machine (most often DVI monitor with HDMI converter) and hibernated with it, and woken it up again without it being plugged in - but is not limited to it. I've sometimes woken up a machine from hibernate in exactly the same configuration as it was when it was hibernated and it has BSOD'd. Most of it has come in the last month, most likely because I switched to using the TT's pretty much full-time for mobile duties.

It's not quite got to a 'must contact Sony Support' level of problem yet, but it is nevertheless somewhat disquieting since the TT is now my primary carry, and I have already dumped all my TZ's.

Since I usually need the machine straight away, I just swear and cycle the machine after the BSOD appears, so I've never written down the exact error it crashes with. I'll try and do so next time, but I wonder if anyone else has had similar experiences moving from TZ/SZ to TT?
