The day finally came that I stumbled out of bed and stepped on my laptop...I'm surprised it took me this long!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a shop that sells a replacement screen for around $200? The best I could find was $300 plus shipping.

    Thanks in advance.

PS- Past = Place (in my head apparently)

Wow!! they got cheap LCD's on Ebay but how about replacing it how much will cost if you'll bring it to local repair shop.

I generally see labor charges on the order of $40-$70. If you go to ScreenTek, they have diagrams illustrating how to replace your screen. It honestly doesn't seem like you'd necessarily get a better job done by the professionals, especially if they have a lot of work and are not as careful with the laptop as you would be.

Thanks for the ebay link...I did a quick search but didn't find anything around that price, $165 is great. Any other ideas?

Yea, I would opt for trying to install it myself, and if that failed take the laptop to the local store, where they charge like $20 for labor for most jobs.
