    I don't think its possible.

    The idea of that light is to actually warn you that you are recording.

    Honest question:
    Why do you want if off anyway?
    To get about 10s extra battery life?

    Yeah, that light is so tiny and doesn't even bother me at all.

    I think you are trying to record without someone noticing, eh? :)

    Maybe place a small square of electrical tape or something over the LED if the light is too distracting or for any covert recording missions. =)
