    Hi guyz

Have anyone used sony vaio TX series laptop. There r a number of models.
    TX750, TX 770, TX 790.

How is the battery performance on continuous full utilization. They claim that it works for 4 to 7 hours. I need to know wether its true?

10 hours is stretching it. Its more like 6-7 hours max with extended battery. But thats still damn good.

My only complaint is that it gets a little hot. But then again........so does my SZ

I'm afraid I've only used it as a display model at my local CompUSA, the TX650 to be precise. Looked pretty cool. Even though the screens only 80 pixels wider than 10.6" notebooks like its predecessor the T, it makes quite a difference.
My major gripe with it is that it seems very fragile, especially the thinness of the screen, which is one of its selling points. I'd be very afraid for the screen to crack under normal usage.

I used the laptop before actually. With standard battery, full brightness wifi on and usual browsing will give u 'at least' 4 hour. With tweaking voltage and brigtness it will give you maximum 6 hour. I have personally not used Double capacity battery, but from what i hear, 10+ hour.

yes.. its true. its actually a 1.67x battery. standard gets 6.5 hours and ext gets 10.5 to 11 at brightness level 3. i have voltage control and microsoft's usb fix installed. the tx is the most perfect laptop ive ever owned. best combination of funtionality and battery life ive seen. at 1366x768 it actually displays more than my s series 13.3" and its the ONLY laptop on the market with 16:9 ratio.. perfect for movies.

and i forgot to mention the screen is the best lcd screen ive ever used laptop or monitor. its lit by LED's giving it unlimited life/super brightness without dulling over time and saving battery. it is however thin and flexible so youll have to have a screen protector on the keyboard if youre carrying it in a backpack.

If anyone doubts the TX series battery capabilities, put those doubts to rest right now. I did some tests with Battery Eater Pro 2.6 and got the following:
    DVD: 282 minutes
    Classic: 293 minutes
    Reader: 501 minutes
