First Sz6 i received had major leakage so i had to return it. My second one has a bad fingerprint reader and the light yellow leakage on white background. I talked to my rep who i buy computers from and he says even if i get another sz6 it would still have the light yellow leakage on the white background. Does anyone not have it on there sz6? Model I have been buying is the sz680.

I have light leakage too. I have no yellow on my white screen though I imagine I will get some if I keep trying to find it. I am sending mine back for the first time for the light leakage.

I am just afraid they might scratch my notebook. I have an SZ680.

Ah so you don't see like some light yellow leakage going from the bottom of your screen upwards? On a full white background.

If the light leakage or rays of light/banding issues bother you (they annoy me), don't buy the SZ's with an LED screen. I've seen five demos and they all have this problem. Two SZ's I took home also had this problem. For such an expensive laptop I expect more. I'm done with the SZ series b/c I don't think anyone has a reasonably perfect screen. And I don't even really care about light leakage! I just want the screen to be even when it's ON.

I had the vertical yellow bands on my SZ680 and sent it in for service...the new screen does not have this same flaw and looks perfect.

This may be a problem with the higher sz models. I have a sz650n and have no yellow lines or leakage from my led screen, even on full white background.

I have a 680 and if I look real close I see the yellow bands on white.
    But...
I never look real close like that if I'm not looking for them!

And my Sony screen makes my Dell 20" lcd monitor look yellow because the Sony is just so white compared to the Dell monitor.

No I dont see any yellow bands forming on a full white screen. Light leakage is the only thing that is bad about my LED screen.
