    I have configured the specs i want on sonystyle.com.

    But are there any alternative websites? that offer them, perhaps cheaper?

    You might be able to find a similar configuration of a pre-built FE690. Post your specs and I'll see if I can find something for you.

    1.83ghz Core Duo T2400, Nvidia chip, 60gb hdd, 1GB RAM, Windows XP($80 :( )

    The closest one that I can find pre-configured out there is the FE690P08, which looking at Zones.com they have it at a pretty good price.

    or check out Pricegrabber for the machine, you might find it for less.

    But the above machine has all you wanted, but gives you a 100GB HD, a camera, and bluetooth so that's probably what the price difference might be.

    You could always check ads for good deals in nearby stores. I got my sz f120 or $2200, back when it came out from circuit city.
