Are Sony Vaio's supposed to have a little flex/play in the hinges?

Ok, this has been an ongoing struggle for me because I never understood why.

Sony fixed my loose power socket housing a while ago, it feels more secure but when I hold the barrel gently and gently move it side to side there is still a little play in the barrel shaped casing and it makes a little noise, it feels pretty sturdy mind you.

Are vaios supposed to be like this? are are they supposed to be rock solid.

They should be pretty solid. You might want to take the bottom case off and tighten the hinge screws... if that will help...
