    Are Sony upgrading their Chips to Penryn?

    Im about to buy a Sony SZ72, but before i do i was wondering if anyone knew if sony planned to put Penryn Chips into their new laptops? If so i might wait until these come out?

    yes. the sz7 series actually include penryn cpu's

    As far as I know all Sony new models released in Asia in Feb were Penryn models.

    As Jimmyj says, the CR35S or 35z has the T8100, the FZ35s has the T8300.

    And SZ75S has the T8100, SZ79 has the T9300.

    I did not see non-Penryn laptops here recently and so I was forced to buy a Penryn, I chose a HP though.

    Also check out Sonystyle.com and see all of their lappies are PEnryn models , I think.
