    Are generic batteries good?

    I have a Sony SZ230P and the battery is "not present" its a month over warrenty and it will cost $220.12 for a new OEM battery through sony, has anybody had luck with generic OEM replacement batteries in laptops?

    I suggest you get the sonys before you spend your money and realize you have to buy the sony's.

    I have bought several on eBay, all had a very short lifespan. I think it is possible to find a good replacement but I have not found one.

    I just purchased one through duracell direct, but have not yet received it. They have a 30 day money back guarantee.

    I guess I will know tomorrow how it goes
