    Hi,

    I have a Vaio VPCYA1V9E.

    Sony : Specification for VPCYA1V9E/B | VPCYA1V9E/B technical specifications

When I press ASSIST when the computer is turned off, it turns on the computer and goes into the recovery.

What I require is when I press ASSIST it turns on the computer normally.

I seriously need it as my power button is broken. Now I am turning on computer with Assist and cancel recovery to restart computer.

    Thank you

Delete the recovery partition (create backup before) and your laptop will boot even when turned on via the assist button. Tested on my VPCZ1.
