How's your laptop's fan noise in a quiet room? In a silent room and even with background music, I could definitely hear the fan noise on my laptop. The sound is a combination of the wind blowing (or a rush of a river) and a very subtle whining noise. something like that... I'm very sensitive to noise and the fan's been bothering me a bit when I have to study and write papers. After a long use of it, the noise gives me a slight headache. Do you all hear this noise and if so are you bothered by it?

I'm going to call Sony and try to get it fixed, but I'm afraid the new part will cause the same type of sound.

Also, when I open up a new file or when the computer's working hard, I hear a crackling noise. Do you all experience this and is this normal? I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks!!!
