    can anyone help w an audio driver that disappears ?
    Every boot up the device manger shows no audio driver

    Appreciate any help

    The driver should be on a disc that came withb your notebook. You should be able to reinstall the driver using that CD. It will automatically find which device it needs to assign the driver, and it will do the rest for you.

    Did a disk come with your notebook? Consider yourself lucky if it did. If not, go online to sony support and download a new one.
