    Dear all

I started a system restore yesterday only to realize that you actually need the application recovery disk. I only made the system recovery disk thinking I wouldn't need the applications.

I found an old copy of XP Pro and installed it fresh onto my SZ28GP

I downloaded all of the drivers from the site.

I could install most of them except the modem and the audio drivers.

I dont mind too much about the modem but I do about the audio.

    I got the error message

"Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again"

    I found http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=1386236&postcount=17

I tried the install order but it doesnt make any difference.

Is there an install order for the audio drivers.

I take it the main driver is just called audio so I thought that would be the one to install first but it gives the error.

    any ideas??

    Hi.

You will need the high definition audio KB fix from Microsoft. This isn't available on their site but if you want to send me a PM with your email address, I can email it to you.

    THanks a lot

I read some other discussions and found the right patch. Took me a while to google a download location.

This helped with the modem and audio drivers instalation.

I just need to find where I get the fingerprint application from now

That's great you found it :) As for the fingerprint scanner software I am pretty sure you will need protector suite. I haven't installed this and don't have the .exe file for it sorry
