    Audio drivers not working after clean install

    I got everything else working but the audio drivers. They are being a real pain and I have run out of ideas. Can someone help me with this? Tried the dell and gateway audio drivers along with the sony one..but none of them seem to make it work..I am all out of ideas..I have a Sony SZ-120P

    i was in the same situation last few days.
    easy solution for that... u need an hotfix from microsoft...

    yeah u need the high definition hotfix from microsoft called uhaa or something. Then install your audio drivers if it still doesn't work get the hotkeys fn utilities. If that doesn't work remember to put check your volume settings. Change it to the right devices and make sure you put the *wave* volume up. I've seen it so many times that people only put their master volume up and wave at nothing.
