I know some of you share this problem... The design of the Z series results in a large scratch across the screen if the laptop gets compressed a little. Question is , has anyone tried to get it repaired under the warrenty? I purchased the full screen protection plan. Dan

Just curious, do you have the higher resolution "Dura-view" screen, or the lower resolution one?

I don't have the Z Series but my screen had like pressure or something on it and broke, they sent a tech out and fixed it in 2 days! I have just the Accidental handling warranty, not even the in house repair but they sent one out anyways :)

Put a tissue between your screen and the keyboard. I have the high res screen and take it everywhere in a bag full of books. I am doing this for more than a half year and I don't have any scratches on the screen ;)

I use a microfiber cloth for this. Tissue can scratch too. Any sort of paper can.

A chamois leather square works well, as it is anti-abrasive (it absorbs dust particles, so you don't drag them across the screen).
