Right now I have a BIOS password set up, but I was wondering if I could set it up to accept a scan from my finger instead? I like using that feature to log into windows. There is an option in the BIOS to "clear fingerprint data", but I'm not sure what that means because I don't see anyway to add fingerprint data...

Well, it worked for a few days. Now it just prompts for the password. When I go into protector suite settings, It only has 2 options "system settings:, and "user settings". There used to be a 3rd setting called "power settings", but It's not there now. From the Protector Suite help file:

    Enabling Power-on Security
Options for working with power-on security are displayed only if your computer supports this feature (supported mainly in laptops). In most configurations, power-on security is enabled automatically after enrolling the first user.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Learn how to:
    To disable/enable the power-on security:
Go to Start menu > Programs > Protector Suite QL ThinkVantage > ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software > Control Center.
    OR
Swipe your finger to display the Biomenu and select Control Center.
Select Settings > Power-on Security. (The wizard will be displayed only in the event that your device supports power-on security.)
Select Replace the power-on and hard drive passwords with the fingerprint reader.
    Click on Finish.

I don't have this option anymore. Very annoying. I've un-installed/re-installed Protector Suite, and un-installed/re-installed the scanner in the device manager and still nothing. What else can I try?
