    Dear friends,

I have a VaiO SZ 75 G/N, and it has a recovery partition, which is hidden as you know. Recently, I just bought a new HDD and I replaced it with the original HDD, which contains the recovery partition. Now I use the ori HDD as external HDD but I want to copy the recovery partition out as the back up of the original windows and settings.

Anyone knows how to do this please give me a hand...

Thanks a bunch and Happy New Year to all of you.

Are you sure about this? I tick on "show hidden files and folders and drives" but still cant see the recovery partition? Did you manage to access to that partition?

If yes, please give me more detailed instructions.

    Thanks.

right click computer on desktop, click manage, on the left side you will see disk management, it will show all partitions

I think if you right click on the partitions, you can either open or explore.

    have you really tried this?
I right-clicked on it and only showed a box name "Help", nothing more...

I heard some news that we cant simply take the Recovery Partition out. We need the VaiO recovery Center, which is not supported for SZ series?

    Anyone can check for this?

    Thanks

    Leopold,

Since your laptop does not have the Sony Vaio Recovery Center software loaded; to perform this procedure you would probably need to clone all the old HDD files to the new HDD. You would need software designed for this task and a USB HDD housing for the other HDD.
