Just purchased a new SZ3VWP/X with the X-black LCD with LED technology. I have a question about the screen. I'm seeing a thin line of bleed running all away across the bottom and top of the screen. It's not so noticeable in general use, but with black (when playing a movie for instance) or when the screen is viewed at an angle, it is quite obvious.

It's a consistent bleed, top and bottom, so I'm wondering if it's just normal and something I'll just have to live with? Anyone else got an SZ3/SZ4 with this issue?

    Thanks.

I've seen this on most LED-backlit premium SZ's; I think it's pretty much normal, as its part of where the illumination is coming from.

If I'm not mistaken SZ has dual fluorescent for better backlighting. Is this the case for all the SZ's or just the one's with X-Brite ? Also, does anybody know the orientation of these lights ? Are they vertical or horizontal ?

The premium SZ models (the ones with numbers SZx5x and above) utilize LED backlighting.

Not sure about the orientation, etc.

I have the SZ3XWPC, and I see this too. Seems to be special to the LED backlightning. My Sony TX 2 XP shows it also, but not that much.
