So my AR150G's backlight decided to go out today.. I bought it new from eBay this month, it had the cover thing for the keyboard and was wrapped still sealed in the box with no finger prints or anything.

I can boot up and it works fine using external display. With the internal display, its really hard to see unless u put a light source shining the screen.

If I press fn-f7 to change monitor outputs, when it changes to LCD output the backlight comes on for a breif second then goes back off.

I don't think this is a software problem, cause even upon bootup its all dark even in the BIOS setup. LCD brightness is set to max, but no change.

Is it common for the backlight to go out? =/

Maybe the connector is loose. Or something is broken, is it covered?

No, I don't think its common at all. Unfortunately, this just steers me totally away from buying used laptops off of Ebay. :(
