How do you turn off the backlight on the keyboard on the Sony Vaio VPCF1?? It is very nice but I do not like the fact the keyboard lights only when I touch one of the keys. I would rather no lights.
I have looked all over... from the control panel to the manual. Any help will be nice!
    Thanks!

This should be accessible through Vaio Control.

Vaio Control > Keyboard and Mouse > Backlit Keyboard

I have an F2, but imagine the menu is the same for your model.

I have checked but the keyboard and mouse only have the options to change repeat delay, repeat rate, and cursor blink rate. I have also checked “advanced” on the same screen and does not contain backlit keyboard. =-(
I have also typed in “backlit keyboard” into search and nothing.

The Backlit KB settings should be where ep3 said they are. Did you do a clean install? You may have neglected to install some important software such as Vaio Event Service or some component of Notebook Utilities, etc. Also, there is the option to keep the backlight always on if you prefer that, once you get your Control Center options where they should be.

Edit: Here is a picture from my F13.
