    Had the same issue... I had service down on my laptop for a bad usb port... when the tech put it back together he messed up the backlight wire.... With the wire disconnected no settings would register in the Control Center....

    I started a chat with Sony Online support, let them log into my machine, they installed and uninstalled a bunch of stuff and then told me it was a hardware issue. I sent it in to them, and they told me it was a loose wire and sent it back good as new!

    Yes, probably disconnected connector. If you're still under warranty, give Sony a call!
