what's going on............i just got an AR series VAIO and for those of you that have this know that it's a pretty big laptop. i need to get a bag for it and want to get a backpack style bag. i went to the local best buy and circuit city but the AR series is too big for the backpack styles, even the ones that are meant for 17 inch. so now i'm forced to buy one online and since obviously i can't try it before i buy, i want to make sure it's a good fit. i was wondering what you guys have, or know of a backpack style that will have a sure fit for the AR series. thanks.

    hi
i'm an owner of the AR series
and i also have a backpack that fit it(barely but no scratch at all so far)
i'm using the Pegasus by swissgear
very good backback i highly recommend it (very tough)

or there is another one that very big that the laptop is way deep in the backpack
if i'm not wrong it's called Targus XL17 or something i'm not sure

    hi thanks for your reply.

i actually saw that backpack at circuit city and took my laptop there to see if it would fit. i THINK it slid in really snug, but when i tried to zip it up, i couldn't because of the rounded edges of the backpack. i'm sure you know better since you have it. does it stretch out at all over time?

as i ordered my laptop to come with extended battery(biggest mistake)
i need to take off the battery before i slide my laptop in the backpack
and so far there is no scratch yet ^^
(note: i use some soft sunglasses bags to cover both end before i close the backpack)
