After purchasing my CW I wanted to get an additional power supply for it to keep on my desk (like I have done with all my laptops). However when I started researching the prices on sony's website I didn't think almost $70 for a power supply was very cool. So I turned to ebay to do some more research on what is available.

The standard power supply that comes with the CW was a part number VGP-AC19V41 when I searched for that number the cheapest I found was around $40 each. However through searching I noticed that sony had many other part numbers that had the exact same plug and power output as the AC19V41 for much less money

I ended up finding a VGP-AC19V10 for $15 shipped to my location. This power supply has the exact same specs as the 19V41. The only difference is the output chord is not mounted on a 90 degree angle which is no big deal, and it costs a lot less!!!

I tested everything with my multimeter to make sure the specs are correct before connecting it to my laptop. Everything checked out and I connected it to my laptop which worked perfectly. I hope this info can help others save a few bucks in the long run..

    Cheers
